Postpartum Alberto August 29, 2007

gorillablog.jpgYou would have thought that Gonzales’ departure would have stayed on page one for more than a minute but Washington is a hotbed of scandal these days and so he was bumped for the next big story. The news out of Repugnant Washington plays more like an unbelievable soap opera than serious politics. If people were not dying, our Constitution going through the shredder, an ongoing illegal massive spying of Americans program, the death of habeus corpus and the stripping of our civil rights it would be very funny.

In that spirit, today’s Lobo Rants include:

–  I did not have sex with that man, says Senator Larry Craig. He has spent five terms in Congress and is in his third term as Senator from the very red state of Idaho. His recent arrest and guilty plea for soliciting sex in a men’s bathroom at the Minneapolis airport is the latest in a long line of Repugnant embarrassments. If these guys were not such big hypocrites by lording their gosh darn family values crap, you might even feel sorry for them. But since they are arrogant, holier than thou self serving assholes, I can only say, schadenfreude!

–  David Vitter, the Louisiana Senator did a mea culpa for his sin with that DC madam.

–  Rudy’s South Carolina campaign Chairman, Thomas Ravenel pleaded guilty of intent to sell cocaine.

– John McCain’s  Florida Chairman, Robert W. Allen, charged with soliciting an undercover cop in a public restroom. (I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to do my business and get the heck out of a public restroom. What is with these guys, anyway?)

Rudy is causing another controversy by being one of the speakers at this year’s 9/11 ceremony. He is not a popular guy here since many of the firefighters blame him for the errors leading up to the tragedy,

– David Letterman’s Top Ten Reasons why Alberto resigned.

–  The History of the Bra (for those that like titillating stories).
