Alternate Title: Will Work for Food

Story: Jeff Garlin’s new film is an homage to his beloved Chicago, a throw back to a simpler movie making time and a very comfortable, easy to like movie. Garlin is familiar to those Curb Your Enthusiasm fans (that would be me). As both writer and director he assembles a cast of his friends who work and play well together.

The film is a series of vignettes about a late 30 something fat comedian/actor, who still lives with his mother, schmoozes with his friends, starts a diet everyday, looks for love in all the wrong places, auditions for roles he will not get and is very, very funny. I laughed out loud a lot and smiled through most of the film.

It is about friendship, family, love and self realization. The film creeps up on you and by its end, you want to go to Chicago and hang out with this band of very likable people.
