baboon.jpgAnswer the 11 questions below to find out which candidates are most aligned with your views and opinions. You may skip questions if you do not want them factored into the results. This quiz is not meant to pick your candidate for you. It is designed to inform the public of the various stances candidates make. Results are not scientific. The WQAD candidate survey is based on the original SELECT A CANDIDATE survey developed by Minnesota Public Radio and posted here.

– I took this quiz and discovered that my political positions are most closely tied to 1. Dennis Kucinich, 2. Chris Dodd, 3. Barack Obama, 4. Mike Gravel and tied for 5th place, Clinton, Richardson and Edwards.

From this week’s issue of The Nation: Dennis Kucinich concluded his smart, pointed yet good-humored participation in the latest Democratic presidential debate by telling the crowd at Dartmouth College that they could have a President who has consistently opposed the war in Iraq, defended civil liberties and fought for single-payer healthcare. “Or,” he said, “you can have a President who is tall.”

WE DON’T TORTURE is what Bush said last week. Raise your hand out there if you believe one thing this guy says. A Washington Post columnist and editorial associate suggests:

Bush administration officials who claim the “harsh” interrogation techniques being used on terrorism suspects are not torture should have to undergo those same techniques. Personally. Repeatedly.

–  Speaking of torture: The Dreadfulcrats are about to help Bush and his thugs by expanding the powers that allow the NSA to spy on us. Can you hear me now?

–  Watch as Mitt Romney snubs an MS patient on the MS question and the role of medical marijuana.
