Keith does it again. A special comment about the State of this Administration gone wild. Watch, table pound, head explode and weep.

1. Worse than being merely too incompetent to be President, GW Bush was controlled by a Neoconservative cabal headed by Cheney and Rumsfeld (until Rummy was forced out).

2. GW Bush was put in the Presidency by the Neocons to carry out the agenda of PNAC.

3. The members of the Project For a New American Century (PNAC)had their agenda prepared and published before they propped up an uninformed, inexperienced, failed businessman named George W. Bush as their poster candidate.

4. He had great appeal among the good ole boys and the Bible thumpers who were not very likely to vote for the scowling man behind the curtain, Dick Cheney.

5. George W. Bush had not been sitting around for the previous 10 years thinking about foreign policy. Rather, he was being coached on foreign policy by handlers who had to teach him that Africa was a continent and not a country.

6. Relatively few Democrats saw the danger looming ahead. Sen Bob Graham (D-FL) di d but he lacked the charisma to get the nomination. Al Gore did but people in their infinite wisdom laughed at him.

7. Barack Obama said in October 2002

Now let me be clear – I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity.

He’s a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him.

But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history.

I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.

I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars.

WE CAN WHINE ABOUT HOW MUCH GW BUSH HAS SCREWED UP OR WE CAN VOTE FOR “BUSH LITE” (AKA HILLARY) OR…..

WE CAN LET BARACK OBAMA TAKE THIS COUNTRY IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION.
