Are you suffering from free floating anxiety these days like me? This morning’s headlines stunned me. Lehman Brothers is going down the tubes, Merrill Lynch is sold to Bank of America and AIG is reorganizing. Is the sky falling? I really thought the Fed would be able to save this off until after the election but apparently the Federal Debt, soaring inflation and no economic growth has caused today’s events. I admit to being in panic mode. Chances are I will go hide out in a darkened movie theater and see how the world is doing later today.
Meanwhile, If you have not seen the five minute opening of Saturday Night Live give yourself a much needed laugh on this anxiety ridden day.
Thank you George W. Bush and your administration. Fine mess you’ve gotten us into.
Better watch this quickly-it was removed yesterday with the warning ” no longer available due to copyright restrictions “.
NBC – you can’t keep a good thing down.
I also watched the news today with a sinking hope. Bush/Cheney ran US into the ground and sinking. Also saw the SNL opening skit, for a while I wondered if it really was Palin! Tina Fey did a great job! :o) Humor definitely gets me through. Can’t wait for a new Daily Show tonight! Thanks.
That’s what happens when the government spends their time regulating peoples lives and taking the regulations on business away.
And, McCain came out quickly today with an ad saying that he and Palin were the only reformers who could fix the economy. Whaaaaaaaaat? McCain with his top economic advisor Phil Gramm who was a major contributor to this mess. And, with his economic advisor Carly Fiorina who is a prime example of golden parachutes going to failed executives. ($21M from HP so they could fire her). I really hope that folks see that McCain has “jumped the shark” with this latest ad.
