aurgh3I have been seething about the lack of movement by the Democrats on the torture issue. It is not enough to only speak to the American people about the economy. We, as a country, need to be angry about torture, rendition and the fact that this thuggish administration of bullies is going to get away with what they have done to our reputation around the world. Please do not let these lawless goons get away with what they have done. The truth needs to see the light of day and people need to be punished.
If things get whitewashed, these illegal acts become precedent. It must by stopped. Rachel Maddow talks to Constitutional lawyer, Jonathan Turley about whether the Democrats are going to let Bush off the hook for torturing prisoners.

Menendez succeeds Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-New York, as DSCC chair. Schumer held the post for four years and is credited with helping Democrats pick-up at least seven seats in November.

People have a hard time conceptualizing very large numbers, so let’s give this some context.
