boA dog named Bo.  It looks like the Obamas have settled on a dog and his name is Bo.”The little guy is a 6-month-old Portuguese water dog given to the Obama girls as a gift by that Portuguese water dog-lovin’ senator himself, Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts. The girls named it Bo — and let it be noted that you learned that here first. Malia and Sasha chose the name, because their cousins have a cat named Bo and because first lady Michelle Obama’s father was nicknamed Diddley, a source said.”

–  It took me 30 years to quell my rage at President Nixon.  His death took care of residual anger at what he did to our nation.  Yesterday I read an article about George W Bush‘ post Presidency life and that same old feeling bubbled to the surface. Will I have to be angry at this sleazebag for the next 30 years. Apparently Bush is tanned, rested (how different is that from his eight years in the White House?) and moving on.  His group of thugs are meeting next week (sans Cheney) to try to reinvent, remold and spin his legacy. I am nauseous. Read it for yourself and weep.

–  In the continuing lunacy of the Repugnant Party, their latest idiot move involves a riff on the Boston Tea Party. But like most things that the Repugnants try these days, it has become a laughing matter.

–  Rachel Maddow on the Repugnants and teabagging. Pretty funny stuff here.  If you are not sure what the term ‘teabagging‘ means, check it out here before watching the video.

–  Fox has spent the past few weeks relentlessly hyping their ‘tax day teabag parties’ as the second coming of Barry Goldwater, but now it turns out they have a bit of a problem.  A teabagg’n problem. This is hysterical.

–  The Daily Show: Teabag The White House? Jon Stewart doesn’t think teabagging the White House means what Fox thinks it means.  This is hysterical too.

–  How cute is this?

– Perhaps there should be an IQ test for entry into a zoo.  Watch as this moronic woman is rescued after jumping into the polar bear exhibit.

happy-easter–  Chocolate bunnies are one of my favorite goodies this time of year. I too, chop off one of the ears as a good place to start.  And a very Happy Easter to all of my pals who are taking part in this day.  I thought this photo was very cute.

–  Last weekend we took a ride out to Riverhead Long Island to visit Atlantis Marine World Aquarium. It is the home of some terrific, well lit tanks filled with beautiful and amazing fish.  It is also the home to African Penguins, sea lions, seals, otters and three Japanese Macaques (snow monkeys).  The three snow monkeys, Pico, Juraco and Darwin used to live at the Central Park Zoo. A special new home was built for them at Atlantis and they moved out five years ago. They are all grown up now and very handsome, indeed.  It is well worth the short drive.

Maybe those Republican Teabaggers can get together with the anti gay marriage group 2 Million For Marriage ( acronym 2M4M) and really have a party!
