The glow is still with us but other news is slowly beginning to seep into our consciousness. Yes, Bush is still in the White House and still doing damage to our environment, our Constitution and our souls. The good news is that the “Transition advisers to President-elect Barack Obama have compiled a list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that could be swiftly undone to reverse White House policies on climate change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues, according to congressional Democrats, campaign aides and experts working with the transition team.

Great content as always, Lobo, thanks for picking out these gems. Bill Maher is just hilarious! It was interesting to read in Frank Rich’s column that the youth vote actually did turn out in greater numbers than in ’04. I had heard just the opposite. I know that a lot of younger people were on the ground in important swing states, many of them from California, and I really think that it made a big difference.
Now, if we could just get Howard Dean to head up the FDA or be Secretary of Health & HS! There’s lots of work to be done but at least now we have a leader who can take us in a direction that will be better for the majority of the country.
